Trademark Attorney MiamiI have over 40 years’ experience as a practicing attorney and I am admitted to practice in all state courts and in federal courts in Florida. I concentrate my practice in civil litigation and intellectual property matters.

I have extensive experience in securing trademark registrations, maintaining registrations, litigating trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board, and litigating trademark infringement claims in state and federal courts. I have represented many different types of clients in intellectual property matters, including photographers, musical artists, sculptors, authors, and designers.

Because I am admitted to practice in all state courts and in federal courts in Florida, I am available to serve as local counsel to assist out-of-state attorneys to represent clients in litigation in Florida.

My pro bono activities are largely focused on juvenile justice matters, serving as an attorney ad litem for a number of children in dependency matters, and as attorney for children in contested custody matters.

I have been active in the American Red Cross, serving as chairman of the board of the Greater Miami and the Keys Chapter, as chairman of the Florida State Service Council, and on task forces of the national organization. I have served as a board member and as president of the Governor’s Hurricane Conference, a non-profit organization that produces a week-long conference each year providing a comprehensive program of training and workshops for the Disaster Response & Recovery Community.

Yvette H. Ayala has been an attorney with Rogero Law since 2012.

Ms. Ayala focuses her practice in the field of Intellectual Property and Business law. She advises her clients through all phases of Trademark and Copyright – from performing trademark clearance, preparing applications for registration with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office or U.S. Copyright Office, and preparing licensing agreements and assignments, to preparing cease and desist letters and carrying out pre-litigation negotiations and resolutions. She is experience in responding to and resolving Office Actions as well as creating both national and international intellectual property protection strategies for clients.

Ms. Ayala also offers general counsel services to start-ups and entrepreneurs.  She guides her clients in entity formation, risk management, and process implementation. She provides strategic counsel with respect to drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, distribution agreements, etc.

Ms. Ayala was born and raised in Miami, where she pursued an undergraduate degree at Florida International University. She earned a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in English before ultimately delving into the study of law at the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University.

Ms. Ayala is fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.

In her tenure as an attorney, Ms. Ayala has served in the Entertainment Arts and Sports Law and Animal Law section of the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association and the Miami Dade Chapter of Florida Association for Women Lawyers.  She has also contributed her legal talents toward pro bono cases for Lawyers for Children of America for a number of years.

Passion

In addition to her commitments to enrich the legal field in Miami Dade County, Ms. Ayala has also been devoted to volunteerism by giving back through various organizations like the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Miami-Dade Animal Services (Adoption Center) and Zoo Miami.

Moreover, because she has always been passionate about saving animals, for several years Ms. Ayala has worked with local agencies to rescue animals from kill shelters and find them temporary placement until permanent homes can be found. In 2018, she expanded her impact by founding Reclaimed Earth, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the conservation of critically endangered animals world-wide.

In every aspect of her life, she seeks to empower compassion in others to create workability where it is lacking in the world.
